Chuffing loudly a few times in a tiger version of an amused laugh, the big cat ventured a slightly tentative step toward the stranger....
Not to be rude, but we're both in no position to do much talking at the moment. Animal muzzle do not form words very well...
Pausing in his communicating, he briskly shook out his striped pelt.
Now then, you mentioned when you look like that... What else do you look like? You do not smell like a shifter...

She looked at him as he laughed. She thought nothing was funny, but she listened to what he said next.
Well, I'm not a shifter... and it's a full moon tonight...
she looked at him, wondering if he could figure it out, but she said it anyway.
I'm a werewolf....
she said looking at him, she hate what she was. she hadn't any control over it, and she never knew when she might hurt someone. she didn't want to hurt someone. she still looked up at him, waiting for a shocked expression or a bit of disbelief and for him to walk away, though she could guess he wouldn't do that, many others had, but he didn't seem like someone to do that.

Snorting loudly in a feline version of "Oh...', the tiger merely gave her a curious glance. Well, it was more suspicious than anything. though not one to judge, he had never actually met a werewolf before and was unsure of how they would react to human hospitality. But, believe it or not, the numerous werewolf movies, myths and stories he had seen over the years had absolutely no effect on his outlook on the creature before him. He wasn't one to believe such stories anyway and most of the movies were obviously fake. Shrugging his shoulders, the cat looked idly to the sky...
No wonder you smell strange.... I've never met a werewolf before...
His gaze focused on the moon above, the tiger sat down mindlessly, rounded ears listening to the sounds of the forest. It was a peaceful place, he had to admit, if a little dark and spooky...

she looked at him... she wasn't really expecting that reaction, most would have left on the spot, counting movies and stories and all. not all weres are like that, there are ones that are though... it just depends on the blood of the human... their temperment. weather they're are leaders, the controlling type, or the soft hearted, listeners. She was the soft hearted, but not faint hearted.

Hearing nothing but silence from the werewolf, the tiger shifted his glance suspiciously from the night sky to the furry form in front of him. She seemed sane enough, nothing like the legends and junk, but that was the way the shifter had always expected werewolves to be. He was expecting a human/anthro/elf in a wolf skin kind of thing, and that seemed to be what he got. Turing his head fully to look straight at her, the bug cat let it tilt to one side curiously.
Do you mind if I asked how it happened?

she looked up to him and shrugged slightly. sh wasn't ashamed of her story, it's not like she did it.
When I was young, almost first born into this world, I was given to a foster family. They cared for me greatly and loved me enough, for the parents that left me.
she said, still looking at him.
Well, I lived with them my whole life but had never been camping in the mountains before, so my foster father ad I went. We had a great time. I would play in the creek and walk through the trees. Well, I went out that night and a huge wolf attacked me, surprisingly, he only pricked my skin with his huge teeth, but it burned. Not like a normal cut or scratch. My father was furious and went out with a shot gun, wanting to kill it. We went together and got separated some how....
she said and paused, a small tear rolled down her soft face, but whipped it away.
Then next time I saw him... I only saw bits of him... his head and a little of his body. So i went home, and cried for hours. i live OK without him, but one night a few years later, on a night similar to this, I changed for my first time. i freaked out and started to scream hysterically. i didn't know what was happening and it hurt terribly. I ran from home and found myself lost, but my mother found me and took me home... I lived normally, being able to control my emotions when I changed.

The tiger listened to the story with a kind gaze, his head nodding slowly with every new statement. he understood this girl's pain... Well, to a degree. His parents had been killed brutally as well. Not just his parents either, his brothers too, killed by a much more deadly monster. When she finished, the shifter kept his gaze to the ground, his eyes searching for something that was not there. he was merely trying to think of something to say aside from "I'm Sorry". That was so cliche'...
I see... Must've been terrible...
Yeah, because that was much better...

she nodded slightly, looking away for a moment.
Yes, it was terrible.
she said, and looked back a him. she was so hurt when she seen her foster father torn to pieces. she couldn't imagine a normal wolf doing that, and she was right, it hadn't been a normal wolf. she sighed softly to herself. not of boredom, but just having a loss at words to say.

Letting a strange silence fall between them, the tiger thought idly to himself, feeling a bit... selfish for asking the question. He should've known it was a terrible thing to speak of, yet he still waltzed right into it, not a care in the world. He was such an idiot... Looking up at the wolf, he tried to think of a way to make things even...
You know, my parents were killed too. Skinned alive for some human to wear or hang on the wall...
Pausing to consider what exactly he was doing, the shifter continued.
I was young when it happened yet I still remeber it like it was... well, not yesterday... maybe last week? The humans had built a machine that tracked tigers. it was like a huge dog or something. It found us and easily mutilated my brothers while my mother carrued me to safety. But it found her too, and she was skinned alive at the enterance of the cave we had taken refuge in...
I was found by some scientists and they kept me until I figured out how to change...
Glancing up from the ground momentarily and forcing a feline smile to form on his face, the cat chuckled a bit.
But these both happened long ago. Why dwell on the past right?

she truly hadn't worried about him waltizing in and asking the question... there was no shame in it... just sometimes it was hard to talk about it. she looked up and grimaced slightly. that's terrible... she couldn't believe how humans were sometimes... but yet again, who was she to speak of it, she was a human, or mostly at least. she nod occasionally to show she was listening though she had dropped her gaze.
Yes... it is all iin the past.
she said, a forced smile crossing her face.

Another strange silence but it wasn't as long as the last one, broken when the big cat stood up from his seat, approaching the werewolf casually. He didn't feel quite so distant from her now. After all, they knew quite a bit about each other at this point... with one serious exception.
So, what's your name? Figure I can't call you wolf or something very... deragatory...

((Lucky you... We're done with our snow season where I am. No more snow days. -_-))
Watching her stand, the tiger was partially expecting her to like attack him or something. Instinct no doubt. his human mind trusted the werewolf at this point. Letting his tail swing from side to side, he filed the name into his long-term memory before telling her his.
Duka... It's nice to officially meet you, I suppose...

Yes... i guess you could say that.
she said looking at him. they had met, just not with names, so i guess this was right.

Another strange silence decended from nowhere but that was to be expected at this point. They each had a lot to relfect upon. growling softly in a tiger version of a sigh, the cat settled down into a comfortable sit again, his gaze shifting idly to the sky. It was more fused upon the stars, keen pupils tracing the stars that lay there in the shapes of some of the constallations. The Big Dipper, Draco the Dragon, Casiopia... he knew them all. Call him a star junky if you wish, he just considered himself knowledgable...
